B: Well, did you hear the latest controversy surrounding Trump?

A: Did he stick his foot in his mouth again? B: Yeah, but this time he pissed off the Chinese.

A: 이 선거는 내가 기억하는 것 중에 가장 이상해.

B: Trump 주변의 최근 논란을 들은 적 있어?

A: 또 그가 말실수(stick one’s foot in one’s mouth)한 거야?

B: 응, 근데 이번에는 그가 중국인들을 화나게 만들었어.

 

controversy : ‘논란’이라는 사전적 의미를 가지고 있다.
