A: Would you like to go to the National Museum tomorrow?

B: That’s a good idea. The museum is full of rare and precious treasures, isn’t it?

A: 내일 국립박물관 갈래?

B: 좋은 생각이야. 박물관은 희귀하고 값진 보물들로 넘쳐나잖아, 그렇지 않아?

 

rare : ‘드문, 진귀한’ 부족하고 특이하기 때문에 가치가 있는 것을 뜻한다. 유의어로는 sporadicerraticunique가 있다. 특히, erratic behavior는 돌발적인 행동을 의미한다. 반대말로 normal이 있는데, 여기서 normal은 not wrong의 뜻으로 normalize는 ‘정상화시키다’라는 뜻이 된다.
