A: I hope the economy gets better. I’m starting to feel the pinch.

B: I know. It’s getting harder and harder to make ends meet.

A: 경제가 좀 나아졌으면 좋겠다. 경제적으로 쪼들리기 시작했어.

B: 그러게. 겨우 입에 풀칠하고 살기도 점점 어려워지네.

feel the pinch: ‘Feel the pinch’는 당신의 수입으로 살아가는 게 점점 더 힘들어진다고 느낀다는 뜻이다. make ends meet: ‘Make ends meet’은 다음 월급을 받기 전까지 거주 비용과 생활비를 간신히 댈 만큼만 돈을 번다는 뜻이다.
